Stellar Astrophysics

Description

It is concerned with studying the stars and their evolution, fundamental for the understanding of the Universe. Stellar astrophysics can be studied through observation, theoretical understanding and computer simulations. Specifically in the observational part, the only possible data to be collected from the stars is the radiation they emit, thus, using advanced techniques we are able to determine masses, temperatures, chemical compositions, ages, kinematic characteristics and several other physical parameters of the stars.
